This workshop invites Emmy Noether group leaders and alumni to reflect on how diversity and equity, or the lack thereof, shape academic practices and environments. After a short input on key diversity dimensions and factors preventing equity in research, participants will work with concrete examples to raise awareness of individual, institutional, and systemic barriers to equitable participation in research. In group discussions, we will identify practical strategies and good practices to foster inclusive, fair, and empowering research settings—especially within your own research leadership context.
